Dellwood Dreaming Reveal

In our pursuit to modernize and enhance the functionality of this home, we undertook a nearly complete home remodel that transformed both it's aesthetic and practical layout. We began by reconfiguring the entryway, repositioning the stairs and laundry room to create a seamless flow. This innovative design enabled us to incorporate substantial cabinetry in the entryway and to add a conveniently located powder room bath adjacent to the laundry, along with a versatile office/kids room parallel to it. The former porch area was revitalized into a spacious living room featuring vaulted ceilings and skylight, inviting natural light and a sense of openness.

By relocating the kitchen and dining room, we successfully created space for a generous new bedroom in the northeast corner of the house. The removal of a bearing wall between the family and living rooms established an open-concept design that enhances connectivity, particularly around the newly positioned kitchen and its adjacent bar area. Additionally, we carefully updated the lighting throughout the home with a selection of modern fixtures that not only illuminate each space but also contribute to the overall aesthetic, enhancing the sense of warmth and sophistication.

While the second-floor layout remained intact, the entire home—including new energy-efficient windows, trim, flooring, and paint—was invigorated, with the exception of the untouched first-floor primary bath, which is slated for future remodeling. This transformation has resulted in a home filled with abundant closet space and custom cabinetry, designed to meet the needs of a growing family of four, including two young children. Each detail was meticulously executed to balance comfort, style, and functionality, making this remodel a winning example of modern home design.
